Draft Letter of Denunciation
[Date]
Philip R. Sellinger
United States District Attorney
District of New Jersey
970 Broad Street Newark, NJ 07102
Dear District Attorney Sellinger,
I am a citizen of the State of New Jersey and the United States of America. I am a parent of children in the New Jersey school system. This letter is submitted under the First Amendment as a Petition for Redress of Grievances.
I am transmitting this letter to you to denounce what appears to me to be violations of the Federal Child Pornography statutes, including 18 U.S.C. § 1466A and 18 U.S.C. § 2252A by the school librarian and Board of Education members.
The particulars are as follows:
The Board of Education of the Municipality of _______________, New Jersey has permitted the school library system to include explicit and obscene representations by photography or visual depiction of any kind including drawing, cartoon or painting that shows a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct and is obscene. These items are available to children of all ages. The materials have remained on the open shelves despite notice to the Board from parents demanding their removal.
The titles of the obscene materials (with copies attached) are: ____________________________________________________
These materials lack serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value and threaten parental supervision of minor children.
Since the depiction includes children of approximate age and gender, or lack of depicted gender, which might be mistaken for children in the school system, including my children, I request, under the Crime Victims' Rights Act (CVRA), 18 U.S.C. § 3771, that you inform me of the disposition of this denunciation.
Sincerely,
